These are made from nylon pantyhose stockings so they are super soft and will not leave a mark on your child's head. The ribbon loop is added so you can interchange your hair bows or flower clips. The 2 sizes (11" and 13") is measured around the headband while unstreteched. The 11" headband measures approximately 5.5" across while flatten and unstretched.
